Advertisement It happened in South Knox County on Chestnut Street, just before midnight Sunday. Two men tried to break into the home of 63 year-old Horace Garland. The homeowner shot 21 year-old Jeremy Johnson when he came through a window. Johnson's stepbrother, Timothy Sellers then came into the house and fired a shot at Garland, missing him. Sellers then dragged Johnson out of the house and drove him to UT Medical Center. Sellers was taken into custody a short time later. Both suspects confessed, and have been charged with aggravated burglary and attempted aggravated robbery. Detectives say Garland won't face any charges because he was acting in self-defense. ----- Why wasnt the other asshole charged with attempted murder for shooting at the home owner?
