After watching some other people shoot, I realized that not everyone realizes when they go to slide lock.. how can you not tell that the sights are now closer to you than they were before

    :dunno:

It's usually not the slide lock that lets me know but the lack of trigger reset on my Glock.

i never understood that either....with some people i actually have to step in the lane and take the gun from them because they keep trying to pull the trigger in a confused manner....."durrr why isnt the shootie thing going boom???"
    haha silly novices.... :mamoru:

:werd: I can tell just by the feel of the last shot, even on the AR cann't see the bolt carrier if you got it shouldered but you can tell by the feel of the last shot that its empty.

exactly man....i can tell just by feel...the gun reacts differently when the slide cycles back and locks as opposed to doing a full cycle to chamber the next round...and i definitely know when i shoot the last round in my AR....when it cycles fully u feel a slight forward momentum of the gun itself from the bolt carrier slamming back home.

I always count my rounds. I dont know why...it's just something I've always done since I was a kid. I had a 17 round tubular magazine on my first .22, so I'd just count em down while shooting. I'd also count the rounds in my CO2 pistol. That way there is no guesswork as to when you'll run out of rounds.

picked a few up awhile back for like $12 each.
I think they sell just the followers too, might look into converting some of my other mags eventually :dunno: nice to have but not on top of my list.

I usually can feel that the gun is weighted differently when the slide is locked back. But I did a couple pulls when I was a noobie :o

the only time i pull the trigger on an empty chamber nowadays is when i perform user error and hit the slide release w/ my thumb by accident during firing...it was more embarassing when i did that with my old sigs than w/ my glocks cuz id make the idiot move of the "click click" on an empty chamber but theres an actual hammer moving. at least w/ glocks its not as obvious ur a complete moron :bcr:
