to my mp3 player? is there a special connecter i can buy to make this work?
umm...what type of speakers???...if you have the average shitty PC speakers you'll just need a mini jack (headphone size) on both ends
My PC speakers are digital so I dont think thats possible
You'll also need power to push them so make sure you are using powered speakers
what kind of mp3 player? what kind of speakers?
the headphone out on the mp3 player should be able to plug into "computer" speakers - except you will proley need a adapter.
also are you trying to play these while the computer is on? or just have speakers so you can use your mp3 player like a boombox?
you can connect any amplified speakers using the headphone out - but i would need to know more about the speakers to tell you what kind of converter is needed if any.
take your headphones out of mp3 player. unplug speaker from computer [in the back of the comp]. plug the pc speaker cable into that port in the mp3 player.
this thread makes me laugh
my old crappy harmon kardon speakers had a standard headphone jack so it was easy to make work.
my new speakers have 3 connections coming out of it, is their an adaptor to make it fit into the headphone jack of the ipod?
i believe your new speakers are some kind of 5.1 system or something (more than 2 speakers) and the 3 connections you see are 1 for front speakers, left and right, 1 for rear left and right, and one for the center channel/sub.
but without knowing what kind of connectors they are im kinda stuck. my advice - either take pictures, or take both items to radio shack and tell the kid there i need to plue *this* in *this* gimme gimme gimme.
ok thanks for your input
BRB. I have to poo.
lol, just stick teh speakers into the mp3 player, always works for me
