is it the same procedure as stretching regular skin?
stretching cartilage isnt really recommended by most piercers. if you are going to do it, do it very very slowly. there's nowhere for your cartliage to go when stretching, so it just gets compressed which could lead to problems for you in the long run.
Basically, you are breaking the cartliage. I have both my conch's done and to keep going thicker in rings, I have to continuously break the cartliage. If you are going for for a low gauge, then do it all at once, no use letting it heal in between sizes.
My piercer stretched my daith up a size from 16ga to 14ga. Lucky for my I had no problems.
Go to your piercer! It's tricky and cartlidge fuck ups are gross!
