In terms of toning the upper body, how effective are pushups and situps?
if you don't have access to other forms of exercise they're fine.
you can get in good shape by simply running, push ups, sit ups and other body weight calisthenics
I think varying your pushups can really work out your upper body. From wide to close hand stance. From your feet on the floor to raised.
You can certainly get a good workout with just body weight.
never did anything for me
add in pullups and running and you got yourself a deal.
I usually do 3 sets of 20 push ups before I go on a date.
no clapping, no care.
neither has weight training
pullups are good
daym... cutting a little deep there bud?
Pushups are the only form of "training" (besides occasional jogging) I did until just a few years ago. I have a pretty thick chest for my size...dunno how much it is attributed to that.
probably one of the most brutally true hits i've seen on F&N
but nga's honest though
great exercises, coupled with pullups and maybe sprints and plyo work you probably could look pretty good if you were lean
