90 or lower?
Special cases for DB vs BB?
To upper chest area/collarbone or whatever you want to call the area
90 degrees is like above the head. i feel it in my shoulders more when i go low and then at the top the triceps take over.
Just learned military press last night and was told to bring the bar to chin level or just below. It works out to greater than 90 degrees.
like this man, but the bar more toward my neck/upperchest
Around chin level, I also don't lock it out fully, since thats mostly triceps.
usually when the head of the dumbell hits my shoulder
saw a dood in the gym yesterday, doing 80lb db presses. i was impressed watching him set them up to shoulder press.
then he did them.
arms didnt even reach 90degrees.
i guess he doesthe excercise more for the motion of getting the weight up from the floor to starting position, b/c it cant be for the press movement.
sorry if it's repost...
"Shoulders w/Milos" has good pointers...
Right around the collarbone.
