~7500 @ ~39Gigs
probably 90% of it is ripped by me, tagged up and organized with itunes

iTunes.....the program of teh E-LEET
a hair under 2500 and i haven't even ripped half my CD's yet.
someday when i get really bored and don't have any projects going on, i'm going to buy a big honkin hard drive and re-rip everything in Apple Lossless and get an AirPort Express so I can listen to my stuff in the living room. (I refuse to play compressed audio in my living room when the CD's are right there, but uncompressed and streaming will work).
what about 1100 to 1199
was this thread moved here
Are you guys ripping stuff at low bitrates or what?
6209 songs, 55.45 GB
what bit rate are you using.. apple lossless?
I rip everything on my laptop with Apple Lossless format...
514 songs, 12.89 GB
so, at that rate, 25 GB for every 1,000 songs. the way i figure it, i can rip my whole collection in Apple Lossless format to a 250GB drive and have some room to spare.
4430. I used to only bother with the songs I wanted. Now I just get the entire albums to cover all bases.
Everything I rip is 256kbps AAC. I have a good number of 320kbps mp3s as well. Some songs (all downloaded) are less, but i try to get em at 192 or better.
192 kbps MP3 or 128 kbps MP4 (iTunes store)
i just deleted about 4,000 mp3s 8 months ago due to hard drive limited space and kept onlyt the ones I listen to the most. I have 2384 mp3s, 168 hours of play, 13.4gb
Oh snap, just bumped up to 3581 songs, 16.63G tonight.
i have around 13,000 right now.
3321 songs, 21.92 GB, mostly all albums ripped at mp3 256 VBR
I should've voted for crunk though
