Now in Austria, it's slightly more than that (as a percentage of my wages taken out in taxes per month) on the public health insurance called OGK (Krankenkasse)

I had the option for a 100% paid by work plan. They had three options, and even the lowest was better than most I've had in the last 20 years. But I chose the highest one for a variety of reasons.
