Just for Windows XP?? Around 5 Gigs should be enough. Maybe less.
I always do a 12 gig partition for Windows and programs.
This is just for Windows XP.
I'll have another partition for programs, another for games, and another for my stuff.
Just got a new comp.
Ok, yeah 5 gigs should be more than enough. I think XP leaves around a 2 gig footprint.
That leaves 155GB for the rest of the shit.
I've used 5 gigs for just XP. It takes up about 2 gigs on it's own plus most programs go an install shit in the system folder that it doesn't necessarily delete when when you uninstall it. Between that and the swap file, you should have enough space.
Damn I'm a smart mothefucker.
Run the swap file on a separate hard drive if you can.
Ah forget it, I'll just leave 20GB for Windows and other programs. 40GB for games, and the 100GB for my shit.
5 gigs is what mine is
Yeah, that makes sense
I suck at teh compewters.
20 gigs for Windows?? You have multiple people in this thread saying to use 5 gigs for Windows XP. That's all you need man.
200 for porn.
I've decided to use it for windows and other programs too.
Get a second hidden 200GB HDD.
He said 20 gigs for Windows and other programs
Now I just need a better gfx card.
Oh yeah. I'm working on my resume too so I'm distracted.
I saw the other thread. Sucks man.
Want to work on my resume while you're at it?
