Any weight at all? 1-5 lbs? 5+?
I've come down to 155 from 172 was my biggest.
I don't suggest it, its ass.
I dont understand why you guys take it so seriously, if I were you I wouldn't worry about weight and cutting and all of that. It's not like you're competing at the nationals or anything. I'd just focus on getting in as many divisions as you can for that day in all the weight classes you can.
Mine was for mma
Well, for me, it's 135 and down or 135 and up at all but Pan Ams and Mundias. So I kinda need to if I want to compete in more than one weight division, because obviously I couldn't weigh heavy and do both.
i've been sitting around 164 (but on the rise) this past semester, i'm at about 160 after christmas break, and i compete at -161. i havn't really cut yet.
Used to cut over 10 every time, but now I walk around a little lighter so 7ish pounds
But I am not competing for a little while =/
for wrestling I walked around 155-158 and wrestled 135, but I made the drop over the week. the day before I was usually around 8 over
last time I competed it was like 5.
6lbs in a week. nothing significant.
none, in lowest weight class already
Tournament coming up. I weigh about 173. Weight classes are 167 and 181 (with gi on). I dont think im going to bother trying to cut any weight.
I'm terribly out of shape and I would do 6 instead of going up. Plus I think weight cutting builds character
I have cut up to 20 pounds before but its a pain in the fucking ass. Usually 10 - 15 is do able for me. I try to cut down 5 pounds of fat when im within 2 weeks of a event. From there a natural laxitive will drop some weight for me and then what evers left ill sweat it out
With gi its more like 10. Not worth it. Ill still do well anyways.
how much does a gi weigh?
would it work to weigh in with a karate or tkd gi then change?
my biggest was this last NAGA, 155 to 140 in two weeks. 8lbs from diet and lack of food. then 7 lbs from water.
