I dunno what that is
usually every training cycle which is about 8-10 weeks for me
till something of me fails
When I get sick or go on vacation, other than that why would you?
At the moment I am running my programme like this, I have been out of the gym for nearly 2 years
1) 4weeks on gym introducing myself to lifting again, not very heavy weights and a very simple routine,
2) 1 week off - ( i use it to review progress and rest my muscles)
3) 4 weeks on with same simple routine but heavy weights
4) 1 week off, have a rest and let things settle down and work on a new routine
5) 12 weeks on hitting it hard as I can
6) 1 week off to review
7) repeat 5-6
I like to have a week off to lose any pump I may have gained at the gym, let my body settle down, and see where I am at, it also rests my mind and gives me a break from routine and the smell of the gym. whilst aching muscles is one of my favorite feelings, it is nice to have a few days feeling no little aches in at least one muscle group
when im at the gym I go 4-5 times a week depending on if i am doing some cardio, i look as my week off as a treat and I always come back to the gym refreshed and feeling stronger.

Every 3-4 months.
I'll be taking off 8 days when I go to Daytona over labor day
every couple months...not planned it just happens...usually a good thing to do though
beat me to it.
Everytime I get bored with training. Then I know its time. So usually ever 4 - 5 months.
I have a break coming up next week. This week will be my last week of cutting. Next week I will maintain my diet with no exercise, then the week after I will move into bulking.
lately almost every week.
I had my wisdom teeth out just now, doctor said no lifting til next tuesday when my next checkup is. This is my one week break I guess.
