How do I enter safe mode if my keyboard won't work after boot screen until windows loads?
You don't. USB keyboard? Borrow a PS2 keyboard and get into the CMOS setup and enable USB keyboard support. Well on second thought, if you let Windows start to load and then pull the plug or hit reset, the next time it starts it should bring up the startup menu and go to safe mode automatically after 30 seconds.
I thought of trying that but it defaults at start windows normally.
Yes it's USB and it works in bios. I tried enabling USB support but it didn't work.
Damnit this is annoying. Will changing the boot.ini file to /SAFEBOOT be safe mode or is that just loading minial drivers and still normal windows?
Weird. That's why my desktop keyboard and mouse will be PS2 as long as they have the ports. Less headaches.
