some please just give me some steps real quick please
cmd > ok
Type "chkdsk" without quotes
You can add different parameters at the end of the chkdsk command. See link above. i typically use "chkdsk /f /r" without quotes.
You more than likely will be forced to restart your machine.
we'll see how it goes
why do you want to do this?
if it's to check a drive, seagate seatools is better (and free)
i think my hard drive is messed up?? its already happened 3 times before so I thought maybe this would help??
should i try out that seagate program?
I think you should back away from the computer because you have NO CLUE what you're doing.
Take it to a professional.
Hard drive has had to be replaced 3 times (thank god for warranty)
It's doing the same thing it did before
Why not run disk check?
if this has occurred 3 times then perhaps you are using the wrong drive, or have you considered there is another culprit?
If you are putting 3 different drives in your PC and having the same problem I kinda doubt it's a drive problem. Is the problem following the computer or drive? And why do you think your drive is messed up? List your problems, what you did to troubleshoot, any error messages and what all you've done.
