And in reality, Amazon has had more positive impact on improving American lives than probably any other company in the last couple of years.

but duuurrrrr capitalism bad people think they’re so smart
That’s a pretty low bar you’ve set there

How many companies are made to improve our lives?

Ahhh yes. Pissing in a jar instead of a toilet in order to meet your metrics is such an improvement on American lives. Praise be to Bezos

Churning through available cheap labor to the point that they are worried they will run out of workers in 2024. People should be grateful they had a chance to work for Amazon

What’s sad about this is the profiteering.

A ballistic shield isn’t a force field, even in a proper carrier vest where it covers the vitals. In a backpack, it won’t do anything. Furthermore, it’s only IIIA which stops small pistol rounds. You know what item in a book bag would be more effective at stopping a bullet? …a book.

Products like this feed into irrational fears and fleece consumers of money.

I mean, it’s appropriate in this thread that we live in a reality where this product exists, but this does nothing to address an issue, just separate people who live in fear from their money.

By shuttering local retail businesses, destroying small town economies, paying a sub-living wage, making employees poop and piss in bottles, stealing product designs from small vendors and rebranding them Amazon Basics, evading paying taxes, and probably a few other things I missed.

God bless Amazon
