I just love to whore this out.
Give me another 1.5" of barrel, plz.
sorry, not a fan of wheel guns
Yes, those M&P340s are awesome. I was offered $799 for one. I may still go back and get it. I am, and always have been a big fan of quality snubs.
Here's my two cents on that gun:
It's certainly a cool gun and very very light. Yes. it can shoot .357 mag. Have you ever tried it personally? Yes, it really sucks. You run 5 through it and your about done with that. The recoil is massive. The fireball is huge. You think "I'll just buy it because of it's light weight and shoot .38 spl +P" Excellent idea. Then you think, I can get a S&W 642 that only weighs 3 oz more for several hundered dollars less. It handles P+ like a champ (written on the barrel) and is the same size.
Yes the 342 has the best power to weight ratio, but will you really be shooting 357 mag? If not, I suggest the 642.
Nope, haven't got to shoot it yet. Thanks for going through my thought process though. That was nice.
Shooting full-strength .357 out of it probably feels like holding a .357 round in your hand and setting it off with a hammer.
hehe, it was my thought process at least. My buddy bought a 342 anyways and couldn't be happier, so you might love it. It's an awesome gun, just expensive.
I love the color of that revolver... wonder how a p225 refinished like that would look...
I've shot one with .357 in it. It will wake you up for sure.
What's a good price for a S&W 642? I want one as a backup to the backup.
revolvers don't do anything for me
should make a nice carry piece.
I've seen $575 online.
Bud has them for $397...
wheel guns get no love...... but imo nothing better than a nicely balanced revolver in .357 not so sure about a .357 snub though
damn i might get one from him
I like those too... some day I'd like to own one.
I bought mine for $400 OTD at the Austin Fun show, it was $369 before tax IIRC.
fuck i want one ^
I like the 442 (black model).
