The innovation has ended. Thanks to the combined efforts of Viacom, Warner Bros., and Korg, music has become nothing but canned, formulaic shittertainment. Music is dead! Musical progress in this world from conception to consumption, has ended. It was a nice run while it lasted. You wanna know why people pirate music? It's not because its too expensive. It's because every song released in the past 10 years has pretty much been "alright" or flat out sucked. I was kinda sad when music store around here closed, but when I think about it in retrospect, it was a GOOD thing they closed. They sold crap. I'll still listen to music, but none of it will be from any time before 1994 except in a few rare cases of music that doesn't suck after 1994 like Aphex Twin. Music has reached that same point, movies reached a few years ago. Nothing is new anymore. All you do is recycle the same shit from last year and make it sound prettier.
