What's the use of tracer rounds for a .50 cal sniper rifle? Do they use .50 cal in something else?

Ahhh ok thats what I figured. It wouldnt make any sense to use a tracer in a sniper rifle.

.50 BMG. BMG stands for Browning Machine Gun which was used in the Browning M2 or "Ma Deuce" The .50BMG was used as a machine gun round long before it was ever applied to sniping.
