i couldn't do as much as my normal squat, but i really like them for some reason
Hard to cheat?
well, it feels like i'm using more of my quads than anything else and i feel my form is much more tight, if that makes sense.
front squats are fun as shit...

overhead squats > all other squats.
overhead squats are bitches. i still can't really put any weights on a 35lb bar. it also always tilts a lil to the front when i'm down. they really hurt my back too while doing it. good lift though.
you lack mobility in your thoracic spine, hips, or ankles
Word, I love them. I can't use enough weight to replace back squats with them, though i wish i could.
This is why I do a "heavy" day with back squats and a "medium" day with front squats.
my wrists kill me doing front squats...any tips on fixing that? i tried the cross armed grip but that didn't feel very stable, maybe im putting the bar on the wrong spot...who knows, i'd rather just fix my wrists and squat like i just cleaned the bar but i need more wrist flexibility/stability.
Mine hurt for the first couple weeks. Are you getting pain all the time, or just when you come out from the bottom? If you lean forward coming out of the bottom, it'll put more strain on the wrists. Try to stay as straight as possible.
I still need to try this.
