in case the needs arise?
more reason for me to get a pistol
Why don't you need one? Do you live in a crime-free area?
Maybe a gun free zone
So no crime is right.
Definitely. I never thought I would want a gun all the time until I started carrying. Now I'll find myself in a situation where I would be much more comfortable with 5 rounds of .357 hollow point on my hip.
Liquor store at night with GF
Pretty much anywhere at night with a cash register
Every day. And I don't own a firearm yet.
Yes you should. Because whether you will actually use it or not, it sends a message to the politicians that people do take their safety seriously and that issuing CCWs is a very good thing.
Maybe it will convince my non-free state of that one day.
A permit, like a gun, or for that matter a seatbelt, or insurance, is one of those things that you don't need until you need it.
It depends on why you don't need one.
If you live in AK and don't need one to carry there, you might want to get one so you can carry when visiting other, reciprocal states.
You might want to get one to skip the NICS check as well.
Exercise your right.
Or something like that.
Do you jog for a living?
Couldnt hurt to have one. Its nice to know that you have the ability to carry if you need to. Plus where I live, if you have a permit, you dont have a waiting period when buying a firearm.
If one isnt required for OC and it is for CC, then I would do it. You never know when a jacket or piece of clothing will conceal it.
Except the average gunfight sees 8 rounds expended. So if you're carrying less than 8 you can expect (on average) to have to reload.
