cause my photos look like shit cropped to 8x10 or 11x14
I don't think that's it.
i feel like i'm losing half my image
Ok, that's it.
all i have to work with are 8x10 and 11x14 hand me downs from my mom.
then don't crop and just have a white border... which you can always trim off ?
have fun framing
make large canvas
copy paste photo into canvas with blank borders around
i dont follow what you guys are saying.
Say the whole print is 11X14, but the image is (center pic) is smaller and uncropped
the frames are 11x14 and there is a white matte with a cutout for an 8x10 print
or, the other frames are 20x16 and there is a white matte with a cutout for an 11x14 print
matte board cutter ftw
Or just buy new mattes.
if they are shots you really like and feel it would be worth it, you might consider having custom frames made. or make them yourself
then there is an uneven amount of white space on the 4 sides, which looks dumb to me, especially in frames this size.
yeah. one day I will- can't afford $50-100 frames at the moment.
Or you know, you could just print 8x12's...
dont have 8x12 frames
well then give me your frames, i'll put them to good use. I have to shoot 6x7 medium format and print them in 8x10 - those frames would work perfect.
Then get them? I hate 8*10's, all I'll get printed is 8*12's.
Feel your pain. I was REALLY upset when I forced to print on an 8x10.
its ok. I'll buy some 8x12's next go round. for now I'm just excited to have some art for the walls. got some really awesome shots coming
ordered 11 metallic prints ranging from 8x10 to 11x14
I'm having a hard time with this decision.. I just moved 4 days ago into my new place.. is it a bit weird to have your own photography on your walls?
I've been goin back and forth for a few days about this
Why would it be? I'd rather have my own work on my walls than someone elses.
I feel the same way. I don't have any of my own prints on my walls. I prefer to be surrounded by what I aspire to accomplish, not revel in what I have already accomplished.
But of course, I do not have Ansel Adams prints on my walls either.
That's because you couldn't afford any
Just seems a bit weird to me.
