Came home today to a big package

From the internet... I don't trust this shit. Time to take it outside and figure out what's in it. Of course I make sure I'm prepared.

Someone sent me a bunch of pluckable foam, nice. This stuff is useful.

    Extremely well packaged beverages.

Also some nerf shit. All of it:

:tbow: great Santa. Disappointed that it wasn't hard to get into but that's it. This is a couple months supply of beer for me doe  don't think I've had bourbon balls before either

I can't get the nerf gun to work :hs: I turn the safety off, hold down the lower trigger, it spins up a motor, push the upper trigger and the motor slows down but nothing comes out the front. Full magazine, brand new batteries. Anyone else play with an MXVI-4000?

    :wavey:

Hmm...do you have the magazine pushed in all the way? We fired one up at my place last night and didn't have any problems with it. But definitely needed to have the mag clicked in. And when you pull the main trigger, it has a pretty long travel with a distinctive click at the end, releasing the ball.

I'll double check that when I get home. Not sure how well you can hear it in the video but you can certainly tell that it's powering something else when you pull the main trigger. I assumed that meant it was trying to fire, but the feed mechanism or something isn't working right.

I got it at Target. I wonder if you can just pack it up and return it? I'll see if I can dig up the receipt.

    Sorry :hsd:

I tried holding down the button that the magazine pushes (it won't normally do anything with the magazine out) and I could see the conveyor moving when I pulled the main trigger, so it works to some extent. I'll try pushing the magazine in even farther.

I guess I'm used to guns and expected "rapid" fire to be faster than I can easily shoot a double action revolver :mamoru: still a fun toy just shady advertising

changed out the 6 D cells it used factory for a little LiPo jump start pack. now it spins up fast and shoots way faster and higher velocity

before it was dropping down to 4V on startup at 4A or so, stabilizing at 6V 2.1A

    after it's dropping to 11.8V and 15A, stabilizing at 12V 5A

I highly recommend modding yours if you have it, although it empties the magazine REALLY fast
