are you a 4 year enlistee that came in as an AB?
I came in around the same time you did Oct 03 and I went up for BTZ a few months back but I didn't make it b/c I got screwed by my flight's management
came in as an Amn (e-2), 4 year.
Board or package?
board. with the whole "Sir, Airman soandso reports to the Below the Zone Board as directed"
you also signed up for 6. I signed up for 4, and came in as an E-2
Ill be going up for BTZ in Kunsan. Hopefully they do packages there.
Mine was easy, OSI only has one BTZ slot to give away, and I was the only one to go before the board. All opinion questions, plus Friday afternoon board time FTW.
Think I'm the only one testing for SSgt this year too.
The likelihood of me having to supervise anytime soon though, is close to zero. I want it for the BAH jump up to 1388, and the 2028 base pay.
monday morning, and 7 up for 1 slot at the squadron. And I'm up against the uberA1C of the squadron. I wish I could just skip it, there's no point
No, you could make yourself shine in front of the board.
Just know the PFE. It's easy!
we're bein asked about
PFE chapter 8 (NCO stuff)
chapter 9 (leadership)
i don't understand for the life of me how they'll ask anything out of chap 8 and 9
Same here, we've got staffs and techs crewing jets
Honestly? Is this sarcasm or you really don't know the type of question?
nope, i honestly don't know what type of question they'd ask. I mean, I can understand being asked about rules and regs, programs, and whatnot... but "what makes a leader?" seems to be too broad of a question.
just read the chapters and you should be fine.
Give your honest answer and you will be fine. Good luck.
Have you been up for any Airman of the Month boards? Or any other boards? They helped me a ton on my BTZ board.
What exactly is the BTZ board?
It is usually comprised of three or more NCO members of the unit issuing the Below The Zone stripe. They review your performance on and off duty, dress and appearance, and Air Force knowledge. The victor gets promoted to E-4 from E-3 six months early. Sometimes if the timing is right, the BTZ winner can test for E-5 within the next cycle.
Money is a great incentive.
Sweet, Im ammo and Ill be there in May.
BAH also goes WAY up at E-5
yea....a lot of my friends who were stationed here @ Eglin are now over therre in Korea so Ill be joining back up with them.
gimme an A
gimme an M
gimme another M
gimme an O
if you ain't ammo you ain't shit
=i used to hear that everyday in tech school when we marched by your school house.
