So I'm laying down sleeping. I have a vague idea that I was in an alley or something, not in my bed. I hear a footstep, open my eyes a tad, look to the side, and see someone walking toward me. He's in a trench coat and fedora. When he gets near me, I tense and expect action. Instead, he kicks me and I roll off the side. I expect him to jump on me for a hand to hand attack, so I play unconcious. I hear a scrape, open my eyes, and he's standing over me with a pipe or something. Then he swings it over his head at my face . . . and I wake up in a cold sweat, body tingling, on the side of my bed, making a desperate grab for my sidearm. WTF? I guess it's something with sleep paralysis (that's why I was tingling). Every now and then (we're talking like once every couple of years or so) I'll have a dream where I'll die (or at least be about to die - it always stops an instant before I expire) and wake up either tingling or with lingering sleep paralysis. It's not disturbing, I just wonder at it.
