Whats up guys. I have a high school power meet this coming sunday...i used to compete my freshman and sophmore year when i used to lift a lot, but after over a year and a half of not lifting, and getting back into it about 2 months ago, i decided to see how i do. im a senior now. im gonna be maxing in bench, squat, and deadlift i'm not sure what i'll max, b/c i havent maxed in 2 years. before during sophmore year: was in 225 category bench: 245 squat: 365 deadlift: 365 what i do now (these were on different days, and i didnt use a belt for the squats or deadlift): bench: first set, i can do 225x6, maybe 7 squat: after doing 225x5, 275x5, i did 310x6 with a few more left in me dead: after doing 225x5, 275x5 was pretty easy, although it seems like it was a lot harder/strenuous than doing 275x5 on squat. (squatting 275x5 was a joke) what do you guys think my goals should be? plus, the class im trying to get into is 225 and under. after a small meal (2 chicken breasts and somewhat hydrated) i'm about 224.1. however, fully hydrated, with food in my stomach, ready to lift hard, im about 226/227. im planning on taking laxatives saturday and i'm not sure if this will help or not. my mom says i'll feel really weak afterwards. =/ any comments on what i should do to get ready for my first powermeet in a while? positive criticisms are definitely accepted. please, nothing like "you're weaksauce and you should break your back doing deadlift" thanks in advance.
