CAR I have a random orbital buffer / waxer. Are these ok pads to use?

I lost all the pads for it, and its been sitting in my garage attic for a few years. Got a new car and want to shine it up. Would these pads be ok for applying swirl remover and wax?

Or should I ditch it and just buy a real orbital buffer?

What you have is a wax spreader, not a real buffer.

You are much better off getting a DA polisher like a Porter Cable 7424XP or a Meguiars G110 and some good foam polishing pads.

You will want to throw the pad that comes with the PC in the trash immediately, don't even use it, stick with the ones in the kit that require the use of the included backing plate. You might also want to make sure the polishes you get are the new spray-able Optimum polishes if you go with that kit.
