What are some exercises (free weight) to get them up?
BB rows, DB rows, Pull Ups, pull downs.
i've been doing BB rows, guess i'll have to try harder. i just started doing pullups yesterday...
i have a 5x max.
you dont have a pulley/cable machine?
nope. free-weights and a pullup bar (which i installed last night)
i guess that's mistake #1 for me...i did my pullups at the end.
wg pullups, bb bent row, lat squeeze
static holds for rows are great
if the exercise has the word "row" in it....do it.
DB rows are the shit.
pullups = excellent progress as well.
Single arm dumbell rows work well for me.
I'm going to have to start doing pullups more, I think that's what I'm lacking on my back day.
nothing beats chins and rows.
i wouldn't be doing those either =x
Yates rows have helped me.
no one has said chin ups
chin ups are what worked for me, weighted
Pulldowns work excellent for me..
form > lbs
Well, just because an exercise doesn't hurt, doesn't mean that it's not perpetuating the muscular imbalances that cause the impingement to exist
My lats have grown nicely in the past couple months. I did pullups, weighed pullups. Bent over close grip rows beyond exhaustion...the lats are like traps and calves--they can take a beating without reaching failure
