and shot and killed a coyote that was running across our pasture from about 100 yards away.
What'd you use?
Norinco SKS open sights
Something is missing here.
Hmmmmmm.... what could that possibly be?
Keep your pants on for just a second. I had to find the cable for my camera.
From the looks of things, the bullet hit it in the middle-right of the back of the head at an angle and it exited just below the left ear.
You headshotted a running coyote with open sights from a football field away?
my fucking ass
Nice shot! Whenever I go stay at my parents house I always keep an eye out for them. They've gotten a few of our chickens.
He just used the unlimited ammo cheat code and bump fired until it fell.
I believe it, it's not that hard of a shot if you've got something to rest on. If he shot the coyote while it was running that's pretty hard to believe, but if it stopped and he took the shot I don't see a problem.
I don't see what's so hard to believe. My dog was barking so I grabbed my rifle and walked out to the corner of my house and I saw it running. I took aim at it, fired a shot, and it dropped. The second pic shows where the bullet exited, so that's all there is to it.
So were you following it like a bird? Or did you just setup your shot slightly ahead of it? Good shot either way, cause we all know SKS's and AK's are horribly innacurete
I set up my shot slightly ahead. I only lead when I actually go bird hunting with my 20 gauge. Tried it once with the sks and another coyote, but that worked about as well as throwing a rock at it.
Aiming ahead or leading it will both work, sounds like you just had bad luck the last time, it's a hard shot anyways I missed a coyote at about 40yds last year during deer season, I got excited and ended up shooting over its back as it was the first coyote I'd ever seen (alive anyway).
Yeah, I've missed a few times trying to shoot coyotes already. This time was just a good luck day.
