there's a 20km hump friday with an m16, empty iba, kevlar, and 15lb rucksack. 4 hours to complete it
Why dont you just drive uncomfortably in a humvee for hours to simulate combat in iraq instead of humps.
lol at 15 lbs
rucksack? should be an assault pack...
1) Assault Pack
2) IBA? (IOTV?)
3) Kevlar? (ACH)
4) M16? (M4?)
Shall I go on?
well, number 3 is a proper correction, but we're fucked on the rest
i'm seriously going to go ahead and run this in like 2 hrs 40 mins, but these humps are so archaic and easy that they need to be phased out.
Jesus are you in the Wyoming National Guard?
active duty in a signal company
side note: probably the easiest and most retarded type of company you can end up in btw
longest hump i ever did in the reserves was like 6k with an assault pack, kevlar, m16
whats your MOS
I'm a 25U
It's good training if you were going to Afghanistan and as long as you get off the hardball. And of course up the weight. Alot.
i havent done one of these in almost 2 years
Ohhh the days in the 18th Airborne Signal Corps
13km in under 1h45 is where it's at.
we did that w/ 80lbs + ammo in 1h50 then just smoked and joked 2m from the finish line and waited for the legal time to go through
Crse O was like 6'6'', not a fun pace
I keep forgetting that you and I were there together
3 hrs and 10 mins without running and a 30lb pack. My LT ran that shit in 2hrs and 30 mins
3rd ID falls under the XVIII Corps and this was one of their things.
Humps are a waste of time if they're not forced humps at a good pace. Being on your own and just finishing in a certain time is dumb.
I hate humping more than ANYONE but i'm glad we did weekly forced humps at a crazy pace during our workup that left you limping for days because when we finally got in country we were prepared and all the humping we did before deployment paid off.
I'm not sure he knows you guys are talking about marches, and not gay sex.
holy shit, why bring anthing?
... how long ago? That's who I'm working with right now in Iraq. You remember any names?
