I Meant To Kill Him,' Robbery Victim Says Store Owner Says Robber Pulled Gun On Him http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/14581634/detail.html POSTED: 9:23 am EST November 13, 2007 CINCINNATI -- The tables were turned on a gunman who tried to rob a convenience store in Cincinnati, police said. Shopkeeper Says He 'Meant To Kill' Robber Police said the man tried to rob N & M Mini-Mart just before 11:30 a.m. Store owner Wade Nassar said the robber purchased some tissues for $1.80 and then pointed a gun at him and demanded cash, WLWT-TV in Cincinnati reported. "He pulled the gun on me (and said), 'Give me the money or I'll shoot,'" Nassar said. Instead, Nassar grabbed his own .22-caliber handgun and fired five or six shots at the robber, who fled the store unharmed. "How I missed this dude, I couldn't believe myself," Nassar said. "I meant to kill the dude. I meant to kill him, trust me. Anybody trying to stick me up, if I get the chance to shoot him, I shoot him on the spot." A passer-by said he saw the robber, who investigators said stole about $400, run from the store as gunshots rang out. "The guy was shooting directly in my direction, (but) I don't know how close it came," said Jason Lanham, who was on his way to get lunch. "It might have come pretty close. Fortunately, I'm lucky enough not to have gotten hit." No one was injured in the robbery or shooting, and the incident remains under investigation. Police will present evidence from their investigation to the county prosecutor, who will decide whether to charge Nassar. Authorities were looking for the robber, described as a thinly built black man in his 30s. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 911. ------ Yeah that might not be something you want to tell the police... If he doesn't get charged he needs to get some more range time and a bigger gun.
