2 weeks ago I was playing soccer and was hit in the back of the calf. I immediately had to stop running and walk off and stretch it. Later that day it swelled up real good. I iced it all day and nite. A week went by and this past saturday I noticed a huge bruise on my foot (from not keeping it elevated). The blood had gone down to my foot. At this point I decided to go see the doctor. I went this saturday and she told me to keep my foot elevated. I've been keeping it about 4ft off my bed with a stack of pillows, and the swelling has gone down. The biggest concern I have right now is the fact that it is impossible to walk. I can only walk on my tippy toes. It's been 11 days since it happened, and the actual pain in my calf hasn't gone away. I move into college this weekend and really don't want to bring the crutches.. Does anyone have any ideas how I can relieve some of this damn calf pain, its been to long... I used a little heat, but am thinking maybe putting my leg in ice water?
