75 - 300 Sony. Really hating the Alpha right now.
A new camera isn't going to magically make you a better photographer.
I know, I just want to learn with better equipment. Sony is way limited to options. There are way more opportunity's with other brands.
Where are you from?
photographic techniques are the same, regardless of your equipment
South Texas, Rockport to be more exact.
English is your first language?
Yes, I am white.
next time, man up, swim out there with your camera above you head, navy seal status, creep up, get your angles right, and shoot away...
I lol'd, water only 2' at most.
just seems you took that picture just because you saw something. Looking for a shot that tells you a story isn't that simple sometimes.
just out of curiosity...
With this particular shot, what part of having a Sony caused the problems, and how would having a Canon have fixed the issues?
oh canon wouldn't have fixed anything
what don't you like about the alpha?
this thread confuses me.
it would be more better, son
um....the same shot taken by a canon/nikon/pentax/fuji/hasselblad woulda came out the same.
fix the thing behind the camera.
a quick pp attempt to create some tension between the birds and the factory (?) in the background. upped the saturation to make the colors more vibrant.
I was thinking the same thing but it's kinda pushing for it.
To the original poster: keep trying. OT used to rip me to shreds when I first started with photography...you're not gonna learn by people praising crap work. And don't blame your equipment, if people can turn in good work from shitty $2 cameras, you can certainly do it with an expensive DSLR (Look up Krappy Kamera Contest and see what people turn in with the crapiest equipment).
if people didn't brutally criticize my stuff when I just started I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am now
I still have a lot of improving to do
These threads remind me of the guy with the asian fighter AV - always wanting new gear cause he took shitty pictures.
After starting this thread, I have begun a photography class. When I received my camera, I had never heard of DSLR. From just fucking with the settings and taking hundreds upon hundreds of photos, I feel I have improved slightly. Maybe not up to OT standards, but I have improved. I am not going to post any more pictures asking for C&C until I complete my class in 6 months and have a half ass clue as to set up a proper shot. I will however remain part of OTAP to take in advise and admire all the talented photogs here. Wish me luck on my classes.
