annnnnnnnnnnd go! start making them apple
Think you're more likely to see the mini update then a netbook from Apple. Maybe come Macworld.
sounds like you just want a cheap mac
why not buy a refurb macbook or something?
id like a netbook for the size
id like a mac mini b/c its a desktop w/o a monitor built in (and not a $macpro)
well they have the new LED displays, just right for a new mac mini release
you will never see a netbook from apple. It's just not what they do...
I agree. If we ever did, it would likely be $800+. If a Mini w/ a 9400M ever shows up that would be an amazing HTPC. Finally could play h.264 rips perfectly.
i wouldnt say never. they said they are seeing how the market plays out to see if this is a fad
i want a mac mini...but i can build a c2d hackintosh for around $200. i only use my current hackintosh for visualhub. a mac mini would be used for that an also a little bit for desktop work, but not much more
A netbook would be cool, but knowing Apple, it'd be priced pretty high for a netbook (I'd wager $500+?)
I'll probably just get an Asus EeePC 901 or something and turn it into a hackintosh It isn't an ideal solution (wifi and audio don't work) but it beats using WinXP
Knowing apple, if they made a netbook, would you get it for, say $600-700?
eveyone wanted an ultra portable macbook and then was because it cost more than a standard macbook and had one usb port.
I've got my Acer Aspire One running OS X, and it's decent, but the SSD is just way too slow. I upgraded the RAM in it so far, and I think I'm going to throw an iPod hard drive in there. Also, I could put an Airport Extreme card in it for wireless, then I've got my own mac netbook
