And ship out for BCT. The anticipation is killing me.
Enjoy the time you have left. Once you go to basic you will lose a lot of the friends you have now. The military will change you no matter what you say. Going home and hanging out with your friends will never be quite the same again.
But wouldn't you say that it's a change for the better?
That is what I was getting at. After being in the military everything changes. When you go home and your friends are doing nothing but working some bullshit job while taking basket weaving you figure out that the military was a positive venture.
Imagine what accord feels like, waiting 18 months
Fill up the next four weeks with as much running and excercising as you can. Run your ass off, but take a break the last few days.
This may have been covered already but what branch/mos?
Army/25F (Network Switching Sys. Operator)
Yeah man I ship out in 4 days. I wouldnt rush it. Hang out with your friends, run, and do whatever else. Like Ranger said though take a few days off at the end though
i been in dep for 9months+ i suppose to of shipped out today, but got pushed back 1 more week. I been running and eating a lot of junk food.
I stopped running/exercising and started drinking(partying) very heavilly about a month before I went to basic and I was no worse off. The only thing that really sucked was seeing all the creepy black stuff I coughed up the first few weeks (A few years at two packs a day).
I hope you are not expecting a nice cushy office job.
I don't want one.. that's why I went for the Army.
I have been working in office environments for only 2 years now. I can't do it anymore.
Be careful what you wish for.
