I was playing SWAT 4 the other day and noticed how there is a somewhat diverse weapon and ammo choice. This got me thinking about making a game (possibly based on the SWAT 4 engine) that placed a civilian or even off duty officer in different scenarios with concealed carry in mind. There would be the proverbial convienence store, bank...(insert any place) robbery, home invasion, on the street, going to your car, in your car...the list can go on and on. You would have to make the right decision on whether you should get involved, when to draw your weapon, distractions ect. You would have a very diverse choice of pistols to choose from, even pistols that are not very suitable for carry (ala-Desert Eagle). This would show the pros/cons of carrying a certain weapon based on round capacity, recoil, speed of draw (based on holster/weapon size), caliber, penetration ect. There would be many different loads to choose from, allowing the player to see and learn the difference between JHP, FMJ and special defensive loads. Obviously this game cannot accurately portray real life fully, but it would give possible CCW holders a chance to be rated on their handling of certain situations, and their ability to discern whether its ok to use deadly force. What would WMDs opinion be if this game was made?
