One day when I came home from doing nothing elsewhere, I click on my IE Icon, and get:

I "Don't Send" becasue I hate that for no reason...and since the "Restart IE" box is checked, it begins a viscious crcle of me not reading anything and getting pissed off for this shit not going away. 10 minutes later I un-checked the box, and ended it.

    The details read:

IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in

I've uninstalled IE, reinstalled, and other things I've been told to try. No luck. I STILL get this shit.

Here's the weird part. I can open "My Documents" or any other folders with that format, type in a URL, and surf away. UNTIL something opens in a new window, that ruins everything. As long as I get no pop-ups, or click links I'm good. If I want to see a picture that's linked, or anything like that, it's CTRL+C for me. It's getting old god damnit. Can anyone help me out here?!

Like I said, I just came home one day and it was doing this. I don't recall DLing anything but music, and the only thing that really sticks out is that I tried to install XP, but didn't get past the Serial entry. But again, I used the computer for like, 4 hours after that with no problems...I came home to the devil CPU...:o

I had this exact same problem on my Dad's machine last week. Go into control panel, add-remove programs and look for anything you don't recognize. I found 2 programs I didn't recognize. One was called search-something and I forget the other.

Look those up on google for info on how to remove them. One un-installed for me, but I had to go into the registry to get rid of the other one.

After that download and install Spybot - Search and Destroy and run it a few times to get rid of the rest of the crap.

Good luck, I spent almost 2 hours getting all of the crap out to get IE to work again...
