does it charge me for trying or only if i get it?
Correct. I've never gotten a back ordered domain, so good luck.
They charge you to backorder it.
They also email you when the owner renews the domain to let you know you are out $18 or something.
Guys have had good luck using pool.com.
one on one refused to let me transfer my domain i registered with them, so i went to godaddy to snatch, paid them and fucking one on one refused to let it go, so i was pissed, but learned a lesson
They charge you but if you don't get it then you still have the credit to use. But only worth even trying with godaddy if the domain you are wanting to backorder is with them otherwise not likely they will catch it.
I was sucessfully back-order a domain with Godaddy. If I remember it correctly, it's like $18 for trying to catch a domain (comes with 1 year registration I believe).
I lost rehost.org, it was snatched up by someone else, then I attempted to renew with previous registrar, and it took over from the new owner. Not sure how, but I'm not complaining
I fucking hate domain squatters. A group I work with has a domain that we want. We have an event bearing this name, we have merchandise using it, we have national media coverage with this name, clear back to 2000!! It's clearly a case we would win if it went to court or arbitration. They took the domain the night before one of our events, they were buying Google search results apparently. No we can buy it from them for $1000 or file for arbitration for $1300?! Fucking cunts!! They are in So Cal, I'll be there next month. I'm expecting an office shooting to happen ...
oh i just want a domain that is in my market, but was recently taken down and no links straight to google.
