Not much of a "crew" person, so, no.
would attempt to steer you to a glock 19/26 or smith and wesson m&p
i bought one
i dont really have an opinion about XDs
coming from XD to glock, yes.
Get a G26 if you want a 9mm subcompact
I shoot glocks and XDs equally well but with the following caveat:
1. I point with XD better
2. my first shot with XD finds its target better
3. my follow up shots with glock is quicker
Because of 1 and 2, XD is my CCW piece.
I would tell you that the 9mm compact M&P I had was a piece of crap.
Not a fan of the XD SC, bore axis is stupid high, gun does not really seem proportionate, stock the Glock trigger is a lot better imo
But if it shoots good for you then get it, since thats all that matters.
No, I wouldn't. They're great guns.
i like the 1911 style grip of the xd, but im not a fan of SC guns, just to small for me
Nothing wrong with mine. Trigger takes some getting used to but there's numerous fixes for it out there, one of which I'm considering.
I had nothing against the Glock 19/26, or M&P9c, I played with lots of other guns first. The Glock 19's slide carved up my hand because it fit so terribly. Everything else just didn't feel right in my hand. XD9SC fit perfect and I fire with amazing accuracy with it. About 300 rounds through it right now, not one glitch. Going to the range tomorrow to unleash another 100 rounds or so.
I have limited experience with XD, so nope. If you can tag what you're aiming at, then go for it.
fixed it for ya.
I have an XD9SC and love it. I haven't shot the Subcompact Glock 9mm, but have shot the subcompact Glock .45 and it felt fine, but the XD just fit my hand really well, and I got a great deal. ($410 with 2 mags, lock, holster, case, and mag pouch, as well as some free range time at the place I bought it).
That's a got damn steal. I paid $499 for mine with no free range time.
It's the bi-tone though. I know solid black runs cheaper.
when did you buy it? that's a great deal.
went to the range yesterday and shot my friends xd9 sub compact, but i dont know anyone with a glock 26 to compare it to
I don't think you should care what people tell you to like (unless you want to get a Jennings or High Point or some other unreliable crap).
If you like the XD, go for it. Crews are .
I love my XD40SC.
to me the one redeeming aspect of the XD is the ambidextrous mag release.
I owned a compact XD-45 and had some corrosion issues and a lot of difficulty from springfield to get it fixed when it was only 3 weeks old. Also one guy I work with just bought a 5in 1911 stainless from springfield and had corrosion issues as well, took him 3 weeks to let him send it back for refinishing, gets it back and a week later same deal, after a couple more months they just sent him a check for the total cost of the gun and shipping and kept the gun.
If you want a 9mm sub compatct look at the glock 26 or maybe a HK P2000.
I love them man. If you like it, that's what matters.
XD9SC is a fine gun
