it has like a film look to it...cool
saturation is at -16 in that
thats my problem with my 17-40. its doesnt feel wide enough. i might pick up a sigma 10-20 to complement it. or just sell the 17-40 and get a tokina 12-24 and a 24-70L to replace it.
you couldn't have just backed up?
and theres no way thats at -16. Some of those blues and greens are just about clipped out they're so bright.
But I wanna go there...
The sky looks fake. Did you add it later?
word. use manual zoom. and of course 17 doesn't feel wide on a 1.6 crop body. that's because it isn't.
Looks almost like HDR?
Its like a high-schoolers first time with photoshop.
Exactly what I thought.
looks like mad shadow/highlight to me
colors look funny.
take two pics next time and stitch them in photoshop
exactly. why did they even add that? was it like a POTN special request?
1mm still isnt going to that much wider. esp with the 1.6x of the 30d.
Mass response to all complaints:
1) could not step back further, was against a fence, these places are fenced in to an extent, they have been adapted to the insane amount of tourism you know...
2) Saturation really is at -16
I have been having a really hard time getting good exposures at these ruins I have been at lately. Usually we have no choice but to see them somewhere around noon, and with then wicked yucatecan sun everything gets washed out easily. I have a CPL, but at the wide angle it causes an awful deep black vignetting effect from the corner, so I have been avoiding it lately. I realize it looks rediculous but I don't really know how to properly develop these raw files to look decent
*pic* for proof of LR settings:
*Forgot to add that you have to pay out the ass to bring a tripod into most of these places, and some won't even let you bring one in at all.
Oh..so THAT's why it looks weird...wtf vibrance +43
Use a slim polarizer.
fucking thing is slim man, its a heliopan, but it still has that gradient effect
anyone know somewhere i can upload the .raw file for you guys to play around with?
