i bought it together, im sure i overpaid, i just needed a case to carry this shit in something. If you have leftover pick-n-pluck foam i'd just use that.

sweet!!

So, how do these work? Do they last like eneloops, or do you need to keep them charging?

are you asking if they retain their charge long (shelf life) like eneloops? I use them pretty often now, but before they used to sit for a while with no problem. i've been happy/pleased with them, and they're cheap to replace vs buying cr123a's. These last a full days shoot and then some on a fresh charge.
I never minded the cr123a's because the SU-800 takes it as well.

Can't you find hella cheap CR123a's on places like DealExtreem? I know the cost on the ones we sell at my store are like <$0.50 each. I think the CR123a's are popular with flashlight crews so I think there are a bunch of cheap single use batts available.

CR123 cost below .50? Shit surehas changed since I got out of the portable power business. Back in the early naughties, our cost was just shy for $2.

Poverty Wizards? I don't know why they just didn't make them AA to begin with.

Or you could go Skyport... Rechargeable built in FTW!

i have cybersyncs, the trigger has a button type battery but Ive never had to replace it.

Pocket wizards would be my next choice if I didnt get the cybersyncs
