both results are questionable
because Fedor grabbed the ropes right before he was about to get taken down, which allowed him to perform a whizzer when Matt lost some of the momentum
It's not even remotely questionable. You want to count the fights where the fighters have grabbed the ropes or the cage? Get real man.
It's a legitimate win, just as legitimate as his loss to TK is which everyone likes to play off though
I've never heard of a fight being ruled NC because a fighter held onto the ropes for 1.5 seconds.
this pretty much sums it up.
shit happens fedor won
yeah...fedor won dude...get over it. your fav fighter matt lindland got worked.
who said Matt Lindland was my favourite fighter...noob
neither have I, doesn't make his TK loss go away though
if fedor hadn't finished him so easily on the ground you wouldn't care about the rope stuff right?
the whole point is that it directly affected the outcome of the fight, Fedor still has this aura around him but he had to cheat to beat a middleweight fighter and he hasn't fought a top-5 fighter in two years
wow that was a ignorant post. cheating??? hahahahahah
What would have happened if Matt was successful in taking Fedor down?
I'm more likely to assume that Fedor would have regained control than I am to think that Lindland would have submitted him.
Dude, you troll as bad as The Awesome at times
If anything, IF Fedor lost due to a stoppage from his cut, then you can you say it can be compared to TK's fight.
But we all know what happened.
And I rewatched that certain part over and over, and Fedor had his foot planted with or without the hands on the rope, don't be mad cause his non-olympian Judo schooled an Olympian wrestler.
Well seeing as Lindland was 212Lbs for the fight, that makes him a heavyweight. Also Chuck Liddell and AA love grab the cage pretty much every fight and no one complains.
After watching again, it looks like at first Fedor is just caught up in the ropes... after the ref moves them away though, it does look like he grabs them on purpose for a sec. I dont think it was enough to change the course of the fight at all at that point, because if he was taken down he would have been too far away from the ropes and holding them wouldnt have done anything. Giving him a point wouldnt have been a bad thing though.
might not be fair to completely count time he was injured too is it?
which top 5 guy should he fight next?
just trolling through huh
that's like saying Tim Sylvia doesn't deserve his win against Silva because he grabbed the fence, effectively stopping a take down.
and while everyone is ragging on you sammo, i want the answer to the question i asked you, wich you never replied...
why did you low blow me that other time? That was fucking gayness.
this is why you guys never see me in the cage anymore
bull shit threads by dumbasses who don't actually care about mma
there aren't any ropes to grab in (real) wrestling
the awesome ae?
