Don't know how I feel about this, don't like the non-list view of reviews.
The list view was nice, but I like how they added new categories. I also like the cover art, easy to spot games.
Shortcuts for each listed game are nice too.
Looks much cleaner.
loads a ton faster. i approve
IGN tries to do way too much graphically and just ends up sucking
It's slightly less convenient to browse through recent reviews, but whatever.
at least its not filled edge to edge with random 6pt text links everywhere like it was before... Looks much better now.
So much better. That place was a fucking mess.
I basically went on it and searched for whatever I wanted, never ever used a link on there.
They've finally put embedded video into the main site? It blows my mind it took them so long to do that. So dumb to have to go to a whole other url to watch videos.
still brings me to another page for video reviews atleast
Looks okay but,
I agree with this. I feel that they do this just to hide the fact that they have enough ads on their site, especially when the ad was the background of a site before this re-design happened.
I clicked the link and went to a reviews section before even reading what you wrote....i feel the exact same way....the list view was way nicer. I dont need to see artwork and a mini blurb about a game. That's why they were links.
One things for sure, that site ALWAYS ran like shit, and it was pretty smooth just now. So they must have finally realized it was too cluttered full of hard load shit.
