I'm gonna have to hit up that one in new jersey. Only 50 minutes away. Stupid question. It's a 3 day seminar? Or the same thing 3 days in a row?
After believing that I could squat 205 I was humbled with by Rip's yelling and now I rep 125 with almost perfect technique.
So my numbers for "show and tell" were 125 squat, 205 deadlift, 65 press, 85 power clean, 105 bench.
Rip is cool as shit BTW. Also, they put a lot of emphasis on the coaching aspect and they taught me how to actually teach a noob how to squat.
Yeah 3 day seminar. Lecture on Friday night, squat/deadlift/press with lecture on Saturday, power clean/bench with lecture on programming Sunday.
Werd, well you have good coaching with which to make yourself beastmode. Have at it.
it's $795 fyi
ah man that's gotta be somewhat of a bummer. improving your form FTW though. I like squatting ATG so much more than "parallel." It just feels right.
how big is the seminar? ~30-40 people?
holy christ, screw that. that guy must be making a shit ton of money
not a bad investment for personal trainers. IIRC it comes with some type of certification. I don't imagine the majority of clients will be interested in strength training depending on the gym they work at, but those who are and know who mark rippetoe is will like seeing that. the thread starter said too that he teaches you to train noobs.
what a rip off
If I had the money to piss away I would do it. He knows what he's doing and I'm sure I would benefit from it greatly but 800$ is a bit much
I c wat u did thar
