I'm currently Webmaster for a rather large Australian gov't department.. I run a small web team of coders/designers and we develop and maintain a portfolio of web applications, plus the main site which runs on MySource Matrix CMS, and a dodgy intranet that's hardcoded (it's just links to apps/directories/etc). We're exclusively Redhat/Apache/PHP/MySQL, but the rest of the company is 100% Windows Server based.. we're being brought in line with the company's "IT Vision" thanks to a new CIO, and have been told we're being replatformed to SharePoint for intranet and website, and all our apps have to be ported by the end of the year to work inside SharePoint and exclusively on Windows servers. Please tell me SharePoint isn't as bad as I hear it is? ibthisisnotyourblog. What should I start learning? (We're being sent on SharePoint admin/development courses, but what else should I learn to make my life easier? ASP?) I have NO Windows experience. Am I screwed?
