Share my pain, people of body mods
Well the first piece is some script across my chest, which will probably be one session. Second piece is a portrait of icarus on my back, which will definitely be 2 or 3 sessions
I just want to get the ball rolling, i haven't even had a consultation yet
for me it's having unfinished work. It drives me nuts every time i look in the mirror.
Unfinished is def the worst for me as well. I've got a 3/4 sleeve I'm doing and had 2 sessions and waiting for the 3rd to hopefully finish up.
I totally think waiting to finish is worse! Painful!!! I'm waiting to finish a big piece at the moment BUT it looks finished so that not so bad!
I feel you. I've been on the waiting list to start my other leg, for around 8 months. We had the consult last month, and the drawing is about 90%...so should have my first session in Jan.
Unfinished work is what aggravates me most.
Ive got a 5, 6, 6, and 6 hour sessions under my belt, I've still got at least 3 more sessions to go...
thats what I found most exciting/excruciating, when I had 4 sessions of my calvin and hobbes piece done knowing I had one more, looking almost completely finished, but confounded as to how one more session would improve the piece as a whole. that last session... totally worth it.
Unfinished sucks. I have my shoulder cap thats outlined and waiting and this huge tree on my side that stretches to my back that is outlined as well
I put myself on both waiting lists in November, still haven't got dates for the consultation
Why couldn't i have just picked shitty artists with no waiting times
I can understand for the icarus piece, but why book an artist with a half year waiting list for some simple script? Tons of artists that can pull off good script.
Not where i come from
I'm quite set in my ways with things like this, once i saw his work i basically decided that's who i wanted to do mine. When i went to the shop they showed me some other artists working there with shorter waiting times, but i just didn't like their work as much
Ah, gotcha. That's the right attitude then...nothing worse than shitty script
There are a few good artists but none that really jumped out at me, maybe it's just me being overly fussy
The guy that I am getting tattooed by now, and he is "fixing" old stuff on my left arm and completeing my sleeve...he's always booked 2 months out. To finally get started again after leaving my arm be for 5 years, the wait to get into my appt. is torture
