Anyone ever use them or have any issues with them?
moon clips FTW
You need to shave your cylinder for moonclips???
Whats the advantage, I though moon clips bent easily.
they seem cool but are they any faster then speed loaders?
Heh, my only revolver is a SAA clone.
I'd like to pick up a 686 some day though.
Probably - drop the whole thing in without worrying about cleanly separating the speedloader from the cartridges.
Yea way faster, and alot faster unloading too
For sport, it sounds good and would likely be faster.
For defense, potentially requiring a tool or a pair of pliers to load your gun is a bad idea.
It just depends on what you want to use the gun for.
You can still shoot them without moonclips
I've considered it but my revolver is for carry only and while I don't mind a couple speed strips in my pocket, I don't think I'd like clips so I don't see the point. I'd rather have a new front sight and some trigger work done.
Didn't realize that. I stand corrected.
Having a j-frame that shoots 9x19 could be nice.
i think i just nut myself
I was thinking about this the other day too. S&W needs to make it.
They already have, it was the 940
From what I remember the 940's are near impossible to get and out of production.
s&w used to make one.
they used to make one but it didnt have the internal hammer like the 642
I have held one, they are cool. Taurus makes a 9mm revolver by the way.
