finally got off my lazy alcoholic ass and/or remembered a camera:
very impressive, he was in all 3 of those wars . i dont rememeber if you told me but may i ask what he did in the USCG? i am assuming a pilot with the rank of CWO but they probably do rank and stuff different than the Army.
btw as you can see in the pics, his grave now has grass on it too, no more bare dirt.
Incredible track record!
I wonder if she has any pics and associated stories about his career that she wouldn't mind getting scanned for you?
I bet there's a whole book that could be told about his time in the service.
you can't just go around saying christmas like that
btw, present, RIP.
not a prob, its the least i can do, like i said i live only a couple hundred feet away from the cemetery. i just feel bad it took me this long to take the photo, cause i know the headstone has been there for a little while. sorry about the delay. whenever i do funerals in that section, which is very very often, i am always aware he is right there. with each guy we bury next to him he has a new fellow brother in arms to share stories with him in the after life (i believe in that, maybe you guys don'y. lets not start a religious flame or whatever guys)
im sorry. very interesting about the engine. i grew up my whole life in the tampa bay area right near st pete. damn small world.
