    Infrared Pics (updated)

    Ok just got a infrared kit for my 717 heres a sample pic I'll be taking more tomorrow I'll try to post more later.

    updated with some new ones, I still like the first one of all the plants though...im waiting for a day when theres some nice clouds, those are suppose to come out pretty nice with the infrared

    Not to hijack but I was about to show my own IR pics / mutilated IR shots, so here you goes:

    First one = no change, second one = tried to blend with inverse, third one = actually worked to change colors to somewhat like color IR:

    Heh, Yeah i wonder how good the see through effect is...it probably doesnt work too well if not more people would be doing it.

    a friend of mine had the old sony cam which had that "defect" on it.

    we didn't know till we played some random footage one day.

    digital with a Sony F717. It's easy to take infrared with the filter kit all i have to do is turn the night vision on
     
  12. Huuh Really?!?! I have an F828 i thought for sure I couldnt do this effect! Where did you get teh filter kit? links? pm plz!

    Try searching for Hoya infrared filter. The kit is a Infrared Filter with a ND 4 and ND8 and it runs about 90 shipped. If i find the site i got it from i'll post it up.

    Popular Photography had an article on how to replicate IR with photoshop. It wasn't as good as the real deal, but didn't look too shabby.
