Do you have the latest IE 6.0? Check Windows Update for any patches.
remove "rem" if running xp, copy these lines into a batch file and run it
rem regsvr32 dssenh.dll # XP only
rem regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll # XP only
rem regsvr32 sccbase.dll # XP only
rem regsvr32 slbcsp.dll # XP only
edit: fixed windows dir name
This might just be me, but I wouldn't trust a Microsoft product with anything that's supposed to be secure.
some of us have no choice
If you go to help -> about, does it tell you you have 128-bit encryption?
It says Cipher Strength 128-bit
so did you run the batch file?
oh, i probably should have mentioned - you might want to close ie first
No I'm computer illiterate & I don't even know how to do that. Also..... Windows XP sucks, how gay. If I wanted to put up with this crap I would've just gotten an Mac.
OSX >>>>>>>> XP.
the ultimate patch for ie!
Sweet. I'm SO sick of IE
hehe. use firefox. but if you want to fix ie, just copy the text below, open notepad, paste the text and save it as run.bat or whatever you want to call it as long as it ends in .bat make sure it does not end in .txt (because notepad likes to add that for you - it needs to end in .bat). double-click to run it.
regsvr32 dssenh.dll # XP only
regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll # XP only
regsvr32 sccbase.dll # XP only
regsvr32 slbcsp.dll # XP only
Thanks everybody. I'm just gonna go with Firefox
