TECH iPod/iPhone input to AUX?

I have a cord that powers and plays my iPod thru car stereo, can this be converted into AUX to plug other things into it?

I got a combo 30pin>usb & 3.5mm from monoprice that i use in my car. 3.5mm to the car aux in, and usb to a cigarette lighter usb charger. Honestly don't remember how much it cost, but i don't think it was $20. Might be worth looking in to.
