My daughter got an MP3 player for Christmas that came with earbuds. She and I absolutely HATE earbuds and am looking for a nice set of lightweight headphones. I prefer the ones that DO NOT clip on my ear only, but have a band instead that goes behind the head.

If anyone can recommend a nice set (light, good sound) for $50 or less**, I would really appreciate it. I'm hoping to get an iPod in the next couple weeks, and will probably be buying 2 sets, so cost is fairly critical.

    TIA.

Sennheiser PMX 60 ($30) is my favorite of that style, unfortunately, there is no 'high-end' kind of 'behind the neck' style headphone.

Also the Koss KSC makes a great one, too... but the build is meh. It has a kick of extra bass compared to the PMX. If you are going to buy an iPod, I'd get this one, because, well, iPods do not bass... or any redeeming sound quality for that matter.

    Thx Bo... great site.

Looks like I might go with the:

Sennheiser PX100 for my daughter and the Sennheiser HD 497 for myself. $100 for both is about on par with my budget.
